CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Nurse Practitioner Association of South Dakota is pleased to announce a call for abstracts for the
inaugural Poster Presentation Session at the 2024 Annual Fall Conference.

Guidelines and Information

  • Proposals may include novel clinical or education interventions, innovative models of care,
    emerging health conditions, evolving leadership and policy issues, original research findings,
    and evidence-based practice.
  •  Nurse Practitioner students or recent graduates are also invited to submit an abstract for
    consideration. The proposal can be focused on your project review of literature, project design
    and anticipated results (if implementation will not have occurred by the poster session), or
    finalized project outcomes.
  •  Abstract requirements: Max 300 words including headings - Background, methods, results,
    and implications for practice
  •  Individuals may submit up to 2 proposals.
  •  Final selections will be based on the quality and clarity of the abstract and relevance to nurse
    practitioners and clinical practice within South Dakota. Preference will be given to those with
    clinical applicability, innovative models of care, and nurse practitioner skill enhancement.
  •  Presenters are to be with their poster during the designated poster session. Presenters are
    responsible for their travel and related expenses, including the printing of their poster (36” H x
    48” W).
  •  The primary contact person will be notified by email of the committee’s decision. Notification of
    acceptance will be no later than August 1st .
  • One $50 gift will be awarded for each proposal selected to present.
  • Abstracts that are not submitted using the electronic form or incomplete submissions will not be
    reviewed.
