SAVE THE DATE: Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention event March 18th, 2024 at 6:00pm CST

NPASD is partnering with the HELPLINE Center to host an event focusing on mental health and suicide prevention. The evening will include a showing of  the documentary My Ascension. 

At 16 years old, varsity cheerleader Emma Benoit attempted to end her life. MY ASCENSION is an inspiring look at Emma Benoit's story, and includes firsthand experiences of families, friends, school officials, and suicide prevention experts.

A panel discussion including mental health professionals and first responders working in communities around the state will be moderated by the HelpLine team following the documentary.
