Notice of Public Hearing

Hello NPASD Members,

On Sept 8, 2016, at 9:00 AM, there will be a Public Hearing of the Joint Boards of Nursing and Medical and Osteopathic Examiners. This public hearing is in regards to rule changes that will affect the collaborative agreement between nurse practitioners and physicians. The hearing will be located at 101 N. Main Ave. in the First Dakota National Bank building, room 215, in Sioux Falls. DDN sites will be available at CAP A, 500 E. Capitol, Pierre, SD and Rapid City Department of Transportation, 2300 Eglin. St., Rapid City, SD.

Anyone who would like to give public or written testimony must notify the Board of Nursing by Sept 3 of an intent to testify or to provide the written comments or evidence to be entered into the minutes at the meeting.

This is an important time for our profession. If you have further questions, please contact the Board of Nursing. I will provide an update following the hearing and review of the testimony.
