• Position Title: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care (NICU Nights)
• Job Type: Travel/Contract Healthcare Job
• Location: Bismarck, North Dakota 58501 (North Dakota healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Shifts: Night shifts, 16 hours (3:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Coverage: Friday–Monday ongoing coverage
• Assignment Duration: 13-week contract with ongoing opportunities
• Weekly Hours: 32
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2420–$2600

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Dakota (ND)
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
• DEA registration required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Minimum 1 year of NICU clinical experience
• Experience with ground and air (fixed wing) neonatal transports
• Clean malpractice history preferred

NICU Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Deliver acute care to neonates in a Level 3 NICU environment
• Perform advanced neonatal procedures: intubation, central line placement, peripheral arterial lines
• Attend high-risk deliveries and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in ground and air transports for neonatal patients
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR system
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to newborns and their families
